Technology definitely has a place in the classroom. Today students are digital natives and in order for teachers to effectively reach their students, technology can be used. Technology has a place, but can be overused. I believe that it is important to incorporate technology in order to engage students in learning, reinforce ideas, and challenge students. However, I would not want to overuse technology, but only use it when necessary and appropriate. Below I have listed resources that I have found that are interesting and would be beneficial in the classroom.
Diigo- This website allows for groups to share resources and collaborate. This can be done in the classroom or at home. The students can share their ideas and opinions. Quizlet-Quizlet allows teachers to create quizzes based on a topic. Flashcards and games can also be created for students to learn the information better. Webspirations-This is a great website to organize information into a graphic organize. Information can be switched from a organizer view to an outline view. Wikispaces- This is a site that allows information to be organized into pages and the pages can be edited with information. Is great to organize websites, resources, and assignments. Wordle- This tool creates a word cloud. It adds a fun touch to education. It takes entered words and processes it into words that are used the most.
